professor Vija Eniņa

Plants and human beings are related. Metabolism in cell level takes place similarly in both - plants and human beings. Just like in humans, the life processes in plants ensure biochemical reactions, involving enzymes, vitamins and mineral substances.

Plant cells, similarly to human cells, acquire energy from sugars or carbohydrates, proteins, fats. Free radicals form in both - human cells and plants, they are harmful for cells and they should be fought against. Thus, when they get into the human organism, many active substances act the same way as they do in plants. The human body perceives plant cells as kindred, not as artificial foreign bodies. Biologically they are capable of taking part in the life processes of human cells, improving their condition and the wellbeing of a human being.

The important thing is that plant cells contain complexes of active substances, not just a separate substance; besides, the active elements are in an ideally balanced proportion. Not too much, not too little. Human cells receive a balanced source of energy where each component takes account of the other and enhances the health of human cells by auspicious interaction.

Herbs are completely related with the soil they grow in. The chemical composition of soil gets into the herb and from there it enters the human body via food. In people live in one geographical region for several generations, their organisms and ferment systems adapt to the chemical characteristics of the specific location. Using the preparations of herbs grown in the same region, the human will receive the most suitable complex of vitamins and mineral substances.
